Working Trailer Fire Hillcrest Dr
December 25, 2017- Youngsville fire along with mutual aid units responded to a reported structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find a trailer well involved. Units worked to extinguish the fire and quickly contained the fire. A water supply had to be set up to support fire control operations. All units returned to service after the all overhaul was complete.
Youngsville Responds to Grass Fire
December 16, 2017- Youngsville firefighters responded to the Olde Liberty golf course for a reported fire. Units arrived to find a large area burning. Units quickly extinguished the fire at the golf course.
Units Respond to Reported MVA
December 8, 2017- Snow and ice cause units to respond to multiple calls. This incident occurred on Holden rd and involved one car into the woods. Engine 41 and Squad 45 handled patient car and made sure the vehicle was secured.
Grass Fire Threatens Structure in Youngsville
November 30, 2017- Youngsville fire responded along with mutual aid units to a reported grass fire threatening a structure on Pine Dr. units arrived on the scene to find a working grass fire. Units handled the scene and extinguished the fire before returning to service. No structures where damaged in the fire.
Another Head On Collision for Youngsville Fire
November 27, 2017- Engine 41 and the Squad responded to a reported accident at N College St and 96. Units arrived to find two single passenger vehicles that collided head on. Units assessed for injuries, pulled a attack line and secured fluid spills and the vehicles. Youngsville returned to service once all hazards had been controlled.
Head On Collision 96 & Park Ave
November 25, 2017- Youngsville members responded to a reported accident with injuries. Engine 41 arrived on the scene to find an head on collision. The engine had to utilize its battery powered Hurst tools to remove one person. Units assisted with other jobs to stabilize the scene before returning to service.
Youngsville Fireman Graduates Wilson Fire Academy
November 22, 2017- Harrison Lancaster graduated the Wilson Fire Academy today. He was one of 7 to successfully complete the extremely difficult school that began with 17.
Youngsville Responds to Construction Vehicle Fire
November 16, 2017- Youngsville fire responded to a reported vehicle fire at the Holden Preserves construction site. Units arrived to find a well involved piece of construction equipment. Firefighters controlled the initial fire quickly and spent some time cooling down the tractor before returning to service.
New Engine 41 Placed in Service
November 6, 2017- New Engine 41 a 2017 E-One pumper/tanker was placed in service. This unit replaced a 1999 model E-One engine. A great job and thanks goes to all members involved from the spec process all the way to equipment mounting and making this unit ready to serve the community for years to come.

Vehicle Crash 401 Hwy Near County Line
November 6, 2017- Youngsville fire units responded to the call of a auto accident with possible injuries on 401 highway near the county line. Units arrived to find multiple vehicles involved with heavy damage. Units completed numerous jobs to bring the scene under control and to ensure all the vehicles where secured.
Youngsville Responds to Granville County for House Fire
October 2, 2017- Youngsville responded with 47 and 342 along with Northern Wake, Creedmoor, and Corinth to a working house fire in Brassfields fire district. The house was well involved upon arrival. Youngsville provided manpower and water.
US 1 & 96 for a Dump Truck Overturned
September 21, 2017- Units responded to a reported accident with one overturned. Engine 41 arrived on the scene to find a full dump truck overturned with all its contents spilled across the roadway. Units handled securing the vehicle and any injuries before attempting to clear the intersection.
Truck Hauling Cars Catches Fire on US-1 Hwy
September 4, 2017- Youngsville firefighters responded to a reported truck on fire. Units arrived to find a car carrier with a fire in the rear of the trailer. Units extinguished the fire and checked the vehicles for damage before returning to service.
Car Accident with Extrication on Moore's Pond Rd
August 17, 2017- Youngsville responded to a reported accident with injuries. Units found a vehicle on its side with people trapped. Members had to stabilize the vehicle with cribbing and rescue jacks before extrication began. Once stabilized extrication was started and members freed all occupants from the vehicle in minutes.
Lightning Strike Causes Youngsville House Fire
July 6, 2017- Youngsville fire department along with mutual aid companies responded to a reported house on fire in the Fleming Forest subdivision in Youngsville. With storms and frequent lightning in the area units arrived to find a well involved single family dwelling. Water supply had to be brought in with tankers. Units operated for a few hours extinguishing the fire and wetting down any hotspots found after overhaul was done.
Youngsville Runs Mutual Aid for Working Fire
June 24, 2017- Youngsville responded on the initial alarm as mutual aid to Bunn for a working house fire. Units arrived to find a single family house with heavy fire on the charlie side coming from the first floor. Youngsville arrived and assisted units on scene with numerous tasks including fire attack, opening up, putting out hot spots and much more. Yfd operated for numerous hours before returning to service.
Vehicle Accident with Fire and Extrication on 401 Hwy
June 12, 2017- Units from Youngsville responded to a reported accident with injuries on 401 Hwy. Units arrived on the scene to find numerous cars involved in fire. Members quickly began to attack the fire. One patient was stuck in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Units brought the vehicle fires under control as well as handled medical care.
Working House Fire in Station 2's District
May 25, 2017- Units responded to a reported house on fire off Camping Creek Rd. Louisburg arrived on the scene and reported heavy smoke and fire showing from a single family home. Units attempted to make an interior attack but had to move defensive due to the lack of hydrants in the area. Youngsville assisted with fire attack, water supply, overhaul and numerous other things while on scene.
May 25, 2017- Youngsville fire department responded to a reported accident with injuries. Units arrived to find a multi vehicle collision. One of the vehicles hit the house and gas meter on the side causing a gas leak. Units handled the numerous tasks on scene and secured the scene before returning to service.

Youngsville Fd Battles Commercial Fire
May 22, 2017- Youngsville firefighters responded to a reported machinery fire on US 1 Hwy. Fire arriving units found a large silo on fire at a rubber recycling facility. The fire ended up being brought under control using the ladder truck. Mutual aid units responded from Franklinton and Wake Forest fd.

Working Fire in Franklinton's District
March 8, 2017- Youngsville fire units responded on the initial alarm with Franklinton fire for a possible fire in a storage facility. Units arrived on the scene and found a working fire in a multiple unit storage facility. Youngsville fire members assisted units with fire attack, forcible entry into exposure units and the extinguishing of hot spots before returning to service.
Youngsville Firefighters Assist Sirche Inc.
February 11, 2017- Youngsville Firefighters participated in a vehicle fire training with Sirche Inc. Sirche will use the vehicle to train fire investigators at upcoming courses. YFD used the opportunity to teach newer firefighters about vehicle fires and tactics.
Youngsville Responds to Working House Fire
January 15, 2017- Youngsville Fire responded with 14 firefighters to this early morning house fire in the North Raleigh Farms neighborhood. The fire was well involved upon arrival of the first units. The fire significantly damaged the house and completely destroyed an outbuilding behind the home. No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross is assisting the homeowners. Mutual aid companies from Franklinton, Brassfield, and Wake Forest assisted at the fire.
Youngsville Fire Responds to Accident on 96
January 14, 2017- Engine 41 and Squad 45 responded with 12 firefighters to this vehicle accident on NC 96 Highway East. The driver was fleeing from police in Wake County when he struck another vehicle and then struck a tree. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and Youngsville Firefighters had to remove the driver door from the vehicle.
Engine and Tanker Respond to Franklinton
January 10, 2017- Engine 41 and Tanker 47 responded to Riggans Way for a working barn fire. Franklinton arrived on the scene advising they had a barn fully involved with explosions. Engine 41 was assigned to water supply and set up a water point at the dry hydrant located on Green Hill Rd. Tanker 47 was brought in to nurse feed Franklinton Engine 64.
