Serving Since 1944

The Youngsville Fire Department takes pride in being a "combination fire department," consisting of Volunteer and Career members that provide professional emergency services to southern Franklin County, N.C.; all from three firehouses that are strategically located to cover our 62 square miles of fire district, and maintain an ISO Class 4 rating:

  • Firehouse #1:   Town of Youngsville "Phantom Fours"  Location
  • Firehouse #2:   Flat Rock Community "The Rock"  Location
  • Firehouse #3:   96 West Community "West Side Kingdom"  Location

The Department is led by a Command Staff of:
  • Fire Chief Brian Christmas (F-40):  Email
  • Deputy Fire Chief Brandon McGhee (F-41):  Email
  • Asst. Fire Chief John Sumner (F-42):  Email
  • Asst. Fire Chief David Williams (F-43):  Email

Staffing consists of both Volunteer, Full-time, and Part-time Members:

Station #1:
  • Full-time Captain (24hrs)
  • Full-time Engineer (24hrs)
  • Full-time Firefighter (24hrs)
  • 2 Part-time Firefighters (weekdays)
  • Volunteer Duty Crew (weeknights and weekends)

Station #2:
  • Full-time Captain (24hrs)
  • Full-time Lieutenant (24hrs)
  • Full-time Firefighter (24hrs)
  • Volunteer Duty Crew (weeknights and weekends)

Station #3:
  • Part-time Captain (weekdays)
  • Part-time Firefighter/Driver (weekdays)
  • Part-time Firefighter (weekdays)
  • Volunteer "Home Based Response" (weeknights and weekends)

*Volunteer Members  are always "on duty" and able to respond from home if not on duty crew.
